Hmmmmm.... what do you have to say for yourself Liz???
So, the other day I am driving by Palouse treasures, a local thrift store, when I see Liz's bridesmaids dress from my wedding hanging on display in the window! Imagine my shock! At least Palouse treasures can see how special it is!
So funny! I'd like to point out to others that Da called me first to ask if it was MY bridesmaide's dress. Of course I would never give it away, I wear it constantly in remembrance of that blessed occasion. Poor Liz though, who would have thought they would hang it in the window?
I'm gonna back Liz on this one and say she did the right thing. I mean when is she ever going to wear that thing again? My wife has been a bride's maid a number of times and all of the dresses sit in our closet never to be worn again. Best case scenario is that somebody buys this dress and uses it as a halloween costume or cuts it shorter and gives it to ther 4 year old daugter to play dress up. At least then it would be getting used.
OK OK so I got a little over zealous with the closet cleaning when we moved. In all honesty I have not worn it once since Nik's wedding (sorry Nik and Sue who sewed it). Its a bit fancy for me and it is way too big. Don't worry I still love you Nik.
I'm silently laughing out loud here (it is 1:30 am after all?) I can't believe it. That just proves what a small town PUllman is, but we all loved it so much! Yeah, I'm kind of going with Liz on this one...have you all seen "27 Dresses"? Not the most clever movie, but this post really made me laugh when I thought of that. Can't say I kept any of my bridesmaids dresses either!
Nik, You should have posted that AFTER Cristy's wedding! Way to traumatize the bride to be. I hope you bought the dress and wrapped it up for a gift for Liz. You are too funny!
Hi, Nikki! Hi, Damon! This is Erin (Cannon) Johnson. I happened to stumble across your blog, surprise, surprise! This one in particular CRACKS ME UP! Makes me wonder what my bridesmaid did with her dress from my wedding! LOL! Your children are beautiful & the two of you look wonderful, too! Hope you'll get a chance to check out my blog from time to time. Take care!!!
Damon and I were married in June of 2001. Damon is a professor of business, and I stay home with our five adorable children. They keep us very busy and a little crazy. Madelynn is 10, Sadie is 8, Jack is 5, Kevin is 3, and Carter is 10 months.

Cute stories
We were in tithing settlement and our Bishop gets quite emotional. He and Damon are obviously close friends, and he was expressing his love and appreciation for us. He was bawling pretty good, our family was being quiet, when Jack yellls out "Your face looks funny like that Bishop"! We all cracked up laughing.
A few weekends ago, Da let me sleep in on a Saturday and he got up with the kids. Sadie came into my room close to 9 and said " mommy, you have been sleeping so long, I learned on Arthur that its bad for your body to get too much sleep" Um, don't worry Sa, I do not get too much sleep.
Today I was drinking my blessed 1 cherry coke a day and Jack saw and said, oh, pop-pop, mommy share. He ran and got a little cup, and I poured a very small amount in for him. He took a drink and said " mmmmmm.....pop-pop gooooood mommy"
Sadie came home from school this week with a picture she had made of George Washington. They had learned about him that day. I asked her, " who is George Washington?" She said " oh, he is the president of the united WHOLE states."
Da has been a student forever, and now his career is at a school. So, when he has had to leave in the morning, they have always said" we don't want you to go to school" Da has always explained that he has to go to school so our family can have money, and have the things we need. The other day ago, I overheard Maddie saying to Sadie" We are going to have so much money now Sadie because me and Dad are both going to school" (if that were only true ;) )
A couple of days ago I was fixing my hair and just kind of gave up and said whatever! Da the ever sweet husband said that I look hot everyday. Maddie said" No she's not Dad, Mom is always cold!!" The innocent child, still made us smile.
I was looking for my wallet and I asked the girls where do they think it could of possibly gone and Maddie says, "maybe its a walking wallet"
Today Sadie asks me this question" Mom, is the bery church really true?" I said yes, do you think it is? She said "ummm, no"
The other day ago I overheard the girls talking about going to school together and Sadie said "We will go to school together Maddie and than we will go to college and we will hold hands" It was so sweet.
I asked Sadie what her favorite Christmas song is, and she said "the one that says rip a bum bum bum"
Tonight Sadie asked me if she was just going to keep growing and growing until she was a person. I said you mean a grown up? and than she said yes, like a mom.
I told the girls that if they really love me they would go and make their beds. Maddie started laughing and than said " silly mommy, we'll always love you, even if we don't make our beds" What was I supposed to say to that?
I was washing Sadie's face and told her I would not be a very good mommy if I put her to bed with a dirty face and she said" Well, you are a good mommy" So sweet, made my day really
The other day ago I was changing Jack's diaper when Sadie came in eating some candy. I said, Sa why do you have some candy? You have to ask, why do you do these things? She than said, " I am just a naughty girl, I can't help it"

Haha!! That's hilarious!! I laughed out loud at that one!
This is the funniest thing ever - a good belly laugh - guess you have to make hard choices when you have limited storage space
