Happy 4th

We had a great 4th of July this year. We had some friends come over for a BBQ to start out the festivities. This is Jack and his new friend Ross. They just moved into our ward and into our neighborhood. He is exactly Jack's age(2 month difference) and I am so happy that he can have a little friend who lives so close to us! They already really like each other. It is going to be such a blessing especially after the girls start school, since Jack does not know how to play on his own.

Yes, I realize Jack has on pajamas, but I told him he had to take a nap that day( we were going to be out so late) and he insisted on wearing them for his nap. Da put on a smoke bomb show before we left to go to the city fireworks

Our city fireworks are perfect. The best part is half of our ward goes, and we all sit together. It takes place in a park, and all the kids just run around and play in the fields, while the adults visit. OK, the girls visit, the guys throw balls and Frisbees around. We may not of had family to be with for the holiday, but we could never ask for a better ward family! We just feel so blessed to be here, I can not imagine what we would be missing in our lives if we had not moved to MS.

Jack talked about the fireworks for 2 days before we went to them. It cracked me up considering the kid had no idea what fireworks were! But the girls were excited, so he was excited. So, this is what he looked like most of the show though. He never cried, but after I asked him how he liked the fireworks. He responded with " mom, fireworks scare me"

We came home and let the kids do some sparklers and we had a few fountains of our own. A really great holiday!
